Martin Hedman
In his own words: I am a civil engineer in industrial economy, profiled towards industrial organisation. After my graduation, I continued to work at Linköping Univeristy with different assignments including evaluating and improving courses included in the civil engineering programme, in subjects such as industrial production, production organisation and industrial organisation. Moreover, I have experience working as Deputy Principal within the area of industrial organisation at Linköping University where I also undertook my postgraduate studies.
ITA started out as a centre formation at Linköping University with me as one of the founders,in the middle of the 80’s. The starting point was the needs of practically combining the technique already used with a well functioning and efficient work organisation, needs which were expressed by all industrial businesses visited by students of the civil engineering programme.
Through the years, I have as a consultant worked in organisation development projects and has participated in both national and Nordic party joint development projects. The Industrial Development Centre, IUC, is a network consisting of regional industrial owned companies supporting development of product, competence and technique and SME (small and ediumsized enterprises). Working as the IUC national coordinator has provided me access to a very large national network of enterprises and organisations.
Said by others: Martin stands for energy, strategy and eloquence, which often makes him the driving force in larger projects and assignments. This energy also shows in his interest of skiing, motorcycling and cars. He enjoys results which are positive for everyone involved.
